Kelly is one of my newer friends who came into my life when my boyfriend, Jimmy, entered the picture. I’m so glad she did! She is wonderful. Recently she took a new position (woo!) and wanted to bring an updated headshot to her new company. So…
“Who ya’ gonna call?” - “B-ritt-any”
(Okay that was dopey but - to be fair - I do refrain from most jokes that come to me. Working alone, you have to create your own jokes".)
The thing about portraits are that - unless you are an extreme natural - posing for a camera feels weird. It is awkward, feels silly and can feel really dumb at the time. But the longer you hear the click-click-clicks of the camera, the easier it is to get comfortable.
I like to take a few ridiculous photos, because they are fun and the absurdity can loosen us both up. :)
And I like to toss in some full body shots, for the record.
We moved inside my apartment for a few final photos. By this time we were relaxed, having fun and had even cracked open a bottle of wine. :)
Alright Miss Jung, thanks for choosing me to take “just a photo or two” for your new headshot. :) You’re wonderful, and I had such a great time with you! Both during the photos, and after with the wine. Ha!
Until next time,
